Thank you for taking the time to visit.

I hail from the Sierra Mountains of California and currently live in Japan. I live with my wife and Siberian husky wolf-child. I teach history for my day job, and love being outdoors--whether hiking, doing SUP, or just relaxing under a tree.

Writing is in my blood. Whether that's found in my horror and fantasy novels or my real-life travel memoirs. My non-fiction has been published in the Japan Times (Japan's largest English newspaper) amongst other online travel sites.
